The Mighty Middle!

The Dead Armadillos (Dillos) are interested in moderate, civil political conversation.

Dillos believe the real "polarization" in our country is not necessarily liberal vs. conservative. Those two points of view are necessary for healthy, balanced governing. The real polarization is people of both parties who insist on demonizing the other party and winning at all costs vs. people of both parties who are willing to listen to each other and hammer out ways that we can work together respectfully.

The name "Dead Armadillos" comes from a favorite sentiment from liberal activist Jim Hightower.  He said: "There's nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos."

Well, we are proud to try to stay in the middle of the road, or at least to look both ways before we make a decision, so if that makes us Dead Armadillos, so be it!
